How it works
Metal value = weight × the karat rate. VAT (5%) applies to the metal value plus making and stone charges. The rates update live from the international spot price at the 3.6725 AED/USD peg.

How do I calculate gold price in the UAE?
Multiply the gram weight by the karat rate for the metal value, then add the making charge and 5% VAT.
A worked example
Say you are buying a 10 gram 22K chain. The metal value is 10 multiplied by the live 22K gram rate. A shop then adds its making charge and 5% VAT.

What the calculator does not include
- Stones and pearls are priced separately and are not gold weight.
- Brand premiums at showrooms sit on top of the normal making charge.
- Buyback spreads apply when you sell, not when you buy.
