Spotted a pricing error, a broken calculation, or something that needs a source cited?
That’s exactly what this page is for. GoldRatesUAE is a small, independently-run
project, and reader reports are one of our main ways of catching mistakes before they sit
on the site for long.
Email corrections@goldratesuae.com. Corrections are reviewed
against a primary source and, where warranted, logged publicly on our
accuracy changelog.
What’s useful to include
A report is easiest for us to act on quickly when it includes the specific page URL, the
figure or claim you think is wrong, what you believe the correct value or source is (if
you know it), and roughly when you noticed it. A screenshot helps if the issue is visual
rather than a number, a table rendering oddly, a broken link, text that doesn’t
match its own Arabic or English counterpart page.
What we can and can’t help with
We can investigate and correct anything published on this site: a wrong figure, an
outdated tax claim, a broken calculation, a source that no longer supports what we cited
it for. We can’t place orders, quote you a specific retailer’s price, negotiate
on your behalf, or act as customer service for a jeweller, for buying or selling gold,
you’ll need to contact a retailer directly. We also aren’t able to give
individual financial or investment advice; see our
disclaimer for why.
Press and data requests
If you’re a journalist or researcher looking for UAE gold price history, our
methodology, or a comment, use the same address and mention what you’re working on, we’re generally happy to help where we can back a figure with a verifiable source.
Response times
We aim to acknowledge factual-error reports quickly, since a live pricing mistake is the
kind of thing that shouldn’t sit unresolved. General questions and press requests may
take a little longer. If you don’t hear back and it’s time-sensitive, feel free
to follow up, messages do occasionally get missed.
Before you write in about a price discrepancy
If our figure looks different from another site’s, that’s often expected rather
than a sign either of us is wrong, see our methodology for why
two honest sources can legitimately show slightly different numbers at the same moment
(different update timing, different rounding, or one showing a live spot tick against the
other’s reference rate). We’d still rather you report it and let us check than
assume it’s nothing; occasionally that kind of report is exactly how we catch a real
problem.
What happens after you report something
We read every message. If it’s a factual claim we can check quickly, we do, and we
follow up once we’ve either fixed the issue or confirmed the original figure was
correct, we don’t leave a report unanswered either way. If a correction results, it
gets logged on our accuracy changelog with what changed
and why, not just quietly fixed and forgotten.
Reporting a specific city’s pricing data
If you’re a retailer and want to contribute verified quotes toward a city’s local
retail premium index, or you’ve noticed a quote we’ve published that looks off,
use this same address and mention which city and which figure. We verify contributed data
against our own evidence thresholds before it affects anything published, see
methodology for exactly what that threshold is, so a single
submission won’t immediately change a live page, but it can genuinely move the needle
on how quickly we can publish an honest index for a city that doesn’t have one yet.
Language
You can write to us in English or Arabic; both are read by the same team. If you’re
reporting something specific to how a fact or figure was phrased on the Arabic side of the
site, mentioning that explicitly helps, since English and Arabic pages are researched and
reviewed as separate editorial efforts rather than one being a translation of the other.
What we do with your message
We use your email only to respond to what you’ve written to us, not to add you to a
marketing list, not to share with a third party. See our
privacy policy for the full picture of what we collect and
why.
If your question relates to a specific transaction you’ve already completed with a
retailer, a dispute over quality, a disagreement over weight, a hallmarking issue, that
falls outside what we can intervene in directly; the retailer itself, or the relevant
consumer-protection body for the emirate the transaction took place in, is who can actually
help there. We won’t be able to mediate that kind of dispute ourselves.
We don’t sell gold and can’t process transactions or place orders, for buying or
selling, contact a retailer directly.
